Cardinals in Bloom
I took these out the kitchen window this morning at 7:15 a.m. I know it's unusual for ProfessorRoush to shut up and lose the commentary, but this real set of lovebirds can speak for themselves. There's nothing like an image of a male and female cardinal pair in a blooming redbud tree to start a day right.

How did things fare in the bad weather for you? I've got a plate of bird seed outside my open window and for the last week or so I've been waking up to the chirps from cardinals. They are pretty birds, only outshone by Bluebirds or Goldfinches in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteSee the next post, Brother. Not nearly as badly as I feared. A little discoloration, but the lilacs kept their blooms and the rest of the garden shrugged it off. Thankfully, it was wet and not too cold. If we hadn't gotten the frost the next morning, I think it might not have damaged anything at all.
